January 17, 1963 - June 16, 2025 Our beloved teacher passed away after a long journey with brain cancer. Ray was one of the first Banyan teachers and this was a great privilege for us all. He was a graduate of Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield’s Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program. “There is no guru. Ultimately, I am the key to my transformation, my liberation… I really believe that deep down inside we all have this burning desire to find meaning in our lives. We unconsciously seek to know thyself, to answer the perennial question, Who am I? Ultimately, you are the key.“— Ray Manyoky
